Traffic signals are one of the most used ways of traffic control. Various design tasks related to traffic signals have been key activities of the company since it was founded. Traficon has designed traffic signals for hundreds of intersections in Finland. The projects have varied from simple intersection design to complete parts of larger cities. Traffic signal priorities for e.g. public transport or emergency vehicles is one of Traficon’s key competences. The key experts of Traficon have also developed the planning guidelines and general technical specifications for traffic signals that are mandated in Finland.
