RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Traficon has been very active in research and development (R&D). R&D projects have been both national and international, focusing on academic research in the field of transportation. Most of Traficons engineers have an academic degree and several of them have a researcher background with a postgraduate degree. Traficon has specialized in R&D within ITS. Traficon has acted as a representative of the Finnish Ministry of Transportation and Communications in several international research projects. Additionally, Traficon has actively participated to the international standardization. As a result, the international expert contact network of Traficon is unique and has been utilized in domestic projects.
